MUSIC

The music worship experience at Pine Street Baptist Church currently

centers around choirs for pre-school, elementary aged children and

adults.  The children's group gather on Sunday mornings as a part of

their Sunday School worship.  Both groups regularly sing in the church

service and provide a time of musical worship which is inspiring to

both adults and children.  The Adult Choir sings on most Sundays and

rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:45 p.m.  The choir is open to

all who are interested in participating.  One of the highlights of their

year is the annual Christmas cantata.  They are joined by other church

members and youth who desire to sing for this presentation.  The

Adult Choir provides a time of inspiration through music at the Sunday

morning worship as well as a family of fellowship for the participants.

They are seeking to begin a nursing home ministry beginning in the

spring.  Guest musicians are often featured including an annual visit by

the VCU Guitar Ensemble and other VCU Music ensembles as well as

guest soloists.  The goal of the music ministry is to spread the word of

God to those around us who are blessed by music and to provide an

uplifting worship experience during our worship services.
